The Samsung L760 Ted Baker is a 3G slider fashion phone with 2 MP camera, secondary video call camera, FM RDS radio, music player, video player, RSS reader, ShoZu application, PIM/organiser tools.
Available in 3 nifty colours - Reef Blue, Rouge and Coffee. Retailers list them as Ted Baker blue, pink and brown. Decent slider phone, with Ted Baker brand slapped on the front and a T-shirt button design (2 little buttons in the centre) for the central navigation key - some mobile shops refer to the phone as 'Ted Baker button' phone. Good value - approx. £89 on PAYG.
Who is Ted Baker?
It could be someone with a grudge against teddy bears. But no. It's the UK fashion lords - Ted Baker. Keen to get in on the fashion phone craze, Ted Baker join the likes of Prada, Levi and Armani, with their own tarted-up mobile phone.
Other fashion brands likely to launch a phone? Don't know. Let's guess: Diesel, FCUK, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, how about a Miss Selfridge phone? Versace, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Dolce Gabbana, Fendi, Christian Dior, Donna Karan, Kenzo, Estee Lauder. M and S?
Design
Solid design and smooth slider.
Front: Earpiece, camera (top right), 2-inch 176 x 220 display, mouthpiece.
Left: Volume keys, microSD memory card slot (no memory card included).
Back: 2 MP camera and mirror (top of rear top panel when you slide the front up).
Right: Application switch key, camera button, video call key, multi-function jack.
Keypad: Decent-sized keys, easy to press.
Pink phone: Not sure what the true colour of the pink version (Rouge) is - some mobile shop photos look pink, others look purple. Design is same as other Samsung Slider Phones. EG: Samsung G600.
Features
2 MP (1600 x 1200 pixels) camera with QCIF video capture (15 fps), FM radio with RDS, music player, video player, Shozu client, Web browser, RSS reader, applications.
The 2 MP camera is OK. 3G and EDGE give good download speeds. Shame it's just a 2-inch screen with a low 176 x 200 pixel resolution.
ShoZu
Use ShoZu to upload pictures, videos and text to Web sites. Flickr, YouTube, Facebook, Blogger and more. One-click upload to 30+ social networks, blogging platforms, photo sites and other Web sites.
