SUMMARY:
Tiny slider phone. Very basic feature set. Entry-level phone. 1.3 MP camera, 1.8-inch screen, small screen resolution, no memory card slot, 8 MB phone memory.Sony Ericsson T303 Review
Due for release August 2008.
Sony Ericsson T303 - a phone for ladies. Or midgets. This tiny slider phone is the shortest phone yet - just 83 mm tall, beating the Samsung Armani (at 87.5 mm). Reasonably lightweight - 93 g and 1.5 cm thick. Available in tasty colours - Shadow Black and Shimmering Silver.
Sony Ericsson describe the phone as "Petite and good looking" and "something to show off on a night out". It also "does the basics well" and "hard for those around you not to be impressed by its premium appearance".
The T303 main benefit is its design and size. Mirrored screen, metal housing and chrome finish. Feature-wise, the T303 is woeful. If all you want is a tiny phone for making and receiving calls and aren't bothered about other features, this stylish little phone is worth a look.
Features include: 1.3 MP camera (rubbish quality, no video capture), FM radio with RDS, music player (there's only 8 MB storage and no memory card slot), Bluetooth 2.0 (no A2DP profile), USB mass storage and charging, Web browser (download Opera Mini - it's better) and a 930 mAh battery. SE have even included TrackID. Very thoughtful.
Battery life is good - 9 hours talk time. Should last a while too.
You can buy a protective glass case IDC-22 to protect this cheap phone.
The screen is erm, lacking. 1.8-inches. 65k colours TFT. 128 x 160 resolution.
The only reason you would but the T330i is if you like the looks/design and don't care about the features. Other than its design, the T330i has no redeeming features.
Price?
Should be cheap - sub £50. Our favourite budget handset is the 3 Skypephone.
