Sony Ericsson's latest Walkman Player mobile phone. And it's a flip phone (clamshell). 8 GB phone memory lets you store up to 8000 songs (according to Sony Ericsson). More like 2650 at 3 MB each.

Sony Ericsson say the w980 will have superior sound quality. From May 2008, you will be able to access up to 5 million tracks using Sony Ericsson's PlayNow service.

Other treats include 8 equalizer presets, music controls and a new Stereo Portable Handsfree HPM-77, picture blogging, video blogging and x-Pict Story.
